NEW YORK CITY JFK Airport Transportation

Subway "A": (718) 330-1234. Operated by New York City Transit. For subway service to Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan, take the blue, white and yellow Long-Term Parking Lot Bus which departs every fifteen minutes, from all JFK terminals. Busses stop at the Howard Beach Subway Station where passengers board the "A" train. Stops are made throughout Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan. Passengers traveling from Manhattan or Brooklyn to JFK should use the A train going to Far Rockaway. Fare is $2.00 (Cash, token, or Metrocard). Casino Bus Transportation to Atlantic City

Casino Excursion Buses run every half hour hour from New York to Atlantic City. The trip is 2.5 hours. Pick up any casino bus in New York from 42nd Street Port Authority Bus Terminal. Call either the Race Director (Mike Giegerich) or your housing host on the telephone BEFORE you get on the bus and tell them which casino bus you will be riding on.

 

Go to 42nd Street Port Authority Bus Terminal. Go to the LOWER LEVEL where the ticket counter for GREYHOUND (GAMBLER'S EXPRESS) BUSES are. Purchase a $28 round trip ticket to Atlantic City. The casino will provide you with money at the end of the trip that will pay for the bus ride.

Major interstate highways connect the Garden State Parkway South to Exit 38 to the Atlantic City Expressway. Follow Expressway direct to Atlantic City. From New York City - 2 Hours 20 Minutes.

By Bus
New Jersey Transit, Greyhound and Academy Bus Lines provide scheduled service to Atlantic City from the NY/NJ Port Authority terminal at 41st Street and 8th Avenue in New York City. The Atlantic City Municipal Terminal is located at Michigan and Atlantic Avenues near all major hotels.

From Philadelphia and points West
From Airport take the SEPTA Airport shuttle from the airport to 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. Fare will be about $5.00. RR entrance from ramp connecting Baggage Claim area to main airport.
At 30th Street Station transfer to NJ Transit train to Atlantic City. NJ Transit Tickets can be purchased at Amtrak Ticket Counter. Cost approx. $8.80.
 

By Car:
Exit Pennsylvania Turnpike at Valley Forge EXIT 24, onto Schuylkill Expressway (Rt.76) through Philadelphia to the Walt Whitman Bridge, N/S Freeway to the Atlantic City. From Philadelphia - 60 minutes.

By Bus:
New Jersey Transit and Greyhound provide scheduled service to Atlantic City from their terminal at 13th and Arch Street, Philadelphia.

By Car
Take I-95 to the Walt Whitman Bridge (Philadelphia) and proceed as above. From Norfolk area, follow Route 13 and 9 to Cape May - Lewes Ferry, then Garden State Parkway North to the Atlantic City Expressway. From Washington, D.C. - 3 hours, 45 minutes.

By Bus
Greyhound provides scheduled service from their terminals at 1005 First Street, NE in Washington, D.C. and 210 W. Fayette Street, Baltimore. Information: 800-231-2222

Rail Service Via New Jersey Transit:
NJ Transit's Philadelphia - Atlantic City Rail Line runs thirteen trains per day between Philadelphia (30th Street Station) and the Atlantic City Rail Terminal with local stops.
